Activities

The Lodge proposed activities include:

- Pirogue trips around the mangroves channels of the Hallahein River, which is the line dividing Casamance with The Gambia, watching the magnificent species of different birds living in the area;

- Boat excursion on the Gambia River;

- Nature walks around the neighbour village and visit to a local compound;

- Visit to the local market Walking along the coast on the breathtaking unspoiled Gunjur beach, 15 min walk only from the Lodge, you can reach the fishingvillage where every day at sunset many pirogues will come with the catch of the day;

- For your "lazy days" you can spend as much time as you need lying on your hammock under a palm tree listening to the sound of nature, or enjoy the "dolce far niente" under your grass umbrella at the beach;

- For guests interested in yoga, Gecko Lodge offer special intensive yoga weeks with our teacher friend from London Yogabelle.
